Open Public Seminar On Medico-legal Issues On Tuesday (Dec. 17) In Connaught Place, Delhi: New PBT Support Center For Victims of “Medical Negligence”

An open public seminar will be held on Tuesday (December 17, 2013) at 4 PM at Indian Women’s Press Corps (IWPC), 5 Windsor Place (between Le Meridian and Sangrila Hotels in Connaught Place), New Delhi on “medical negligence” and problems in Indian healthcare system.  Dr. Kunal Saha, PBT president who was recently awarded highest-ever compensation by the Supreme Court for death of his wife from medical negligence will answer questions and provide pertinent points how this Apex Court judgment may help other victims of “medical negligence” find justice in future.  In addition, eminent medico-legal experts, Prof. M.C. Gupta (retired professor and head of department of AIIMS and a practicing lawyer) and Prof. Mukesh Yadab (head of department of Forensic Medicine of School of Medical Sciences, Sharda University, Delhi and also a qualified advocate) will also participate to discuss medico-legal issues at this program.  Victims of alleged medical negligence will also be present to tell their personal stories.  A new local support center for PBT will also be inaugurated to serve the people of Delhi area.  All are welcome to attend this historic program.  Admission is free.  You may contact local PBT coordinator, Mr. Sishir Chand at 9810919282 for more information.
