“Ankur Arora Murder Case” – PBT Welcomes New Bollywood Movie From Real Life To Bring Public Awareness About “Medical Negligence”

Renowned producer and film-maker of Bollywood, Vikram Bhatt, in his latest movie “Ankur Arora Murder Case” has shown a real-life story of unfortunate death of a young boy in a case of gross medical negligence.  The movie will release tomorrow (June 13, 2013) in cinemas across India.  PBT welcomes the movie and hopes that people would watch it because it brings awareness about “medical negligence” and what may happen to anyone living in India today.  PBT has also played a supporting role in this production, albeit indirectly, as after the producers of the film contacted PBT president, Dr. Kunal Saha, seeking his opinion about the movie, he has issued a press release welcoming the creation of this unique film which may have important implications on medical negligence in India.  Recently, a TV show on medical negligence “Satyameva Jayate” hosted by actor Amir Khan generated angry response from the IMA and other medical leaders of India.  We hope that conscientious and caring doctors of India would welcome such movies and TV shows for better public awareness and to take positive steps to eradicate “medical negligence” and corruption from the healthcare system in India.  For any questions on these issues, people may contact PBT head office in Kolkata (Tel: 9038083120/9831983670/9836706952) or contact PBT president, Dr. Kunal Saha in USA (Email: ANKU1@EARTHLINK.NET; Tel: 001-614-893-6772)
